Results
Another great week for FormGolfer followers, with JT Poston leading wire-to-wire and closing out a three-shot victory for our second 50/1 winner in just five weeks. Despite a fairly shaky period mid-way through his final round, he was never caught by the chasing pack, and a timely birdie at 17 made for a comfortable stroll to victory down the last. The result lifted our cumulative profit on outright picks to over 380 points and return on investment back over 60%. It’s been a fabulous start to 2022 and let’s hope for more of the same as we head into The Open and the final stages of the PGA Tour season.
The overall performance of our selections was as good as any we’ve had, with four players in the top 15 and all six of the recommendations making the top 30. It was perhaps a touch disappointing that T8 from Cameron Davis was the only other result to secure a return, since both Mark Hubbard and Charles Howell III could easily have joined him in the places, but it would be churlish to complain having bagged the winner of the event.
Another fairly low-key event in the States this week as the build up to the 150th Open continues. But as the John Deere proved, low-key weeks are every bit as important as the more glamorous events when it comes to building up profits.
Preview
A relatively weak field lines up for the John Deere Classic, although that’s not to say there’s no value to be found…
Having been sidelined with Covid for the last few days, the preview will be rather more concise than usual – and apologies for the later-than-usual publication.
With winning scores likely to be in the high teens to early 20s under par, a warm putter is likely to be a pre-requisite for success, and many of those who have been slowly trending without being able to post a really big result against the top players may fancy their chances of securing an elusive success.
